Rooted in the traditional tassa drumming styles originating from the Indian subcontinent, KIC Tassa honors its rich heritage while embracing innovation. As a group, we recognize the importance of preserving our cultural roots, passing down the art form from one generation to the next, and fusing it with contemporary influences.

KIC Tassa boasts a diverse ensemble of exceptionally talented musicians. Each member brings a unique flair and skill set to the group, creating a harmonious blend of rhythms and melodies. From the powerful bass drums to the intricate beats of the bass and jaal, to the spirit-lifting melodies of the tassa, our musicians work in harmony to deliver exhilarating performances that leave our audiences captivated.

At KIC Tassa, our artistic endeavors extend beyond the stage. We have actively sought opportunities to engage with our community, sharing the joy and vibrancy of tassa drumming.
